Homologation Engineer (Automotive)

Location: Hybrid role based in Warwickshire, United Kingdom, with regular travel to customer sites, occasional overseas travel, and the ability to travel within the EU.

What you will do

• Deliver homologation activities across the existing client base and support the UK Homologation team.
• Work directly with vehicle manufacturers across Categories M, N, L, and O.
• Witness homologation testing at manufacturer locations and testing laboratories.
• Prepare and present test reports.
• Support Senior Homologation Engineers with test preparation and execution.
• Track innovations, findings, industry news, and regulatory changes.

Requirements

• Previous automotive or homologation experience is essential, including vehicle emissions testing and homologation, passenger car passive and active safety, commercial vehicle approval, or L-category vehicle approval.
• Knowledge of type approval regulations, technical requirements, and safety requirements.
• Degree in Automotive or Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification; other relevant engineering disciplines or experience may be considered.
• Practical knowledge of the automotive industry and Automotive OEM processes.
• Sales, engineering, or technical knowledge, together with commercial, costing, engineering, or programme management knowledge.
• Fluent English is required.
• A full UK driving licence is essential.
• Ability to travel within the EU is required.

• Knowledge of ADAS, cyber security, software update systems, and GSRII requirements.
