GCP Cloud Platform Administrator

Location: Fully remote within Spain; platform locations include Barcelona, Logroño, Madrid, Santiago de Compostela and València.

What you will do

• Administer and operate GCP environments across Compute, Storage, Networking, Security, IAM, Governance and Monitoring.
• Manage IAM, service accounts, roles, organization policies and least-privilege access models.
• Deploy and maintain GCP resources, including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC, Load Balancing, Cloud SQL and managed services.
• Automate infrastructure and operational tasks with Terraform, gcloud, APIs and Python, while maintaining IaC and CI/CD practices.
• Monitor platform health, troubleshoot infrastructure incidents, and resolve availability and performance issues.
• Analyze billing and usage, contribute to FinOps and cost optimization, maintain security and governance controls, and document operational procedures and runbooks.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience administering GCP or equivalent cloud infrastructure administration experience.
• Strong understanding of Google Cloud architecture and core services, including Compute, Storage, Networking, IAM and Security.
• Solid knowledge of GCP networking, including VPCs, subnets, firewall rules, routing and private connectivity.
• Experience managing IAM, service accounts, roles and organizational policies.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, especially Terraform, plus gcloud, APIs and automation.
• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, cloud deployment automation, Google Cloud Monitoring and Cloud Logging or equivalent observability platforms.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues across GCP infrastructure and cloud-based applications.
• Understanding of cloud security, governance and cost optimization principles, with strong scripting skills preferably in Python.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional and international teams.

Nice to have

• Google Cloud certifications such as Associate Cloud Engineer, Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer.
• Experience with BigQuery, Cloud Run, GKE, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Dataproc, Composer or other Google Cloud data and analytics platforms.
• Experience with Kubernetes, containerized workloads, Terraform and GitOps practices.
• Knowledge of FinOps, cloud cost optimization, security and compliance frameworks.
• Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud environments, particularly GCP and AWS/Azure.
