Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (GCP)

Location: Hybrid in San Salvador, El Salvador, with 3–4 days per week on-site and 1–2 days remote, Monday through Friday.

What you will do

• Administer GKE, Cloud Run, Compute Engine with MIGs, and App Engine workloads.
• Maintain versioned Terraform code, CI/CD pipelines with Cloud Build, and images in Artifact Registry.
• Manage Cloud Storage lifecycle policies and high availability across Cloud SQL, Spanner, Firestore, or Memorystore.
• Administer VPCs, subnets, load balancing, and Cloud NAT.
• Apply least-privilege access using IAM, service accounts, and Workload Identity.
• Implement observability, FinOps practices, environment parity, and first-line production troubleshooting.

Requirements

• 1+ year of hands-on experience running workloads on GCP.
• 2+ years of experience in systems administration, infrastructure, or software development.
• Working knowledge of Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, SQL, NoSQL databases, and IP networking.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is desired, or equivalent professional experience.
• Autonomy and strong problem-solving skills under pressure.
• Working knowledge of English is required; Spanish is the primary language of communication within the project.

Nice to have

• Google Associate Cloud Engineer certification.
