AI Engineer (Artificial Intelligence)

Location: Milan, Verona, Florence, or Rome, Italy; work mode may be 100% remote, hybrid, or in-office.

Salary: €28,000–€36,000 gross annual salary.

What you will do

• Develop AI solutions across the full lifecycle, including problem definition, data cleaning, modeling, and production deployment.
• Build predictive, statistical, optimization, and Generative AI solutions using LLMs and Transformers.
• Industrialize models from local environments to cloud platforms using scalable and reliable AIOps practices.
• Work with AWS, GCP, Azure, Databricks, SageMaker, and Vertex AI for large-scale data science.
• Translate complex data into actionable business insights and communicate findings to clients.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers to integrate models into live systems.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related STEM field.
• 1–3 years of experience in AI, Machine Learning, or Data Science.
• Proficiency in Python, NumPy, Pandas, and scikit-learn.
• Familiarity with Git, virtual environments, and SQL or NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of regression, classification, clustering, and dimensionality reduction, or experience with Generative AI including LLMs, fine-tuning, prompt engineering, OpenAI API, LangChain, and vector databases.
• Fluency in Italian at C1 level and proficiency in English; language skills will be tested during the interview.
