Forward Deployed Engineer, Mid-Market - Milan (AI)

Location: Milan, Italy; hybrid with 3 days per week at the Milan office and 2 days remote

What you will do

• Run multiple mid-market implementations from kickoff to go-live on fixed timelines of about four weeks.
• Configure and adapt AI agents to customer policies, products, tone, contact rules, channel mix, payment links, and human hand-offs.
• Set up customer data imports and exports through standard integration flows.
• Test agents with simulations and evaluations, identify failures, and resolve them before launch.
• Analyze production performance with SQL and dashboards, explain results to customers, and improve agents and contact strategies.
• Turn repeated implementation work into templates, scripts, and tooling; document handovers and share product feedback with Product and Engineering.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in a technical role such as software engineering, solutions engineering, implementation, technical support, or technical consulting; strong graduates are welcome.
• Ability to write Python and/or TypeScript and SQL, work with APIs, and handle data files.
• Interest in structured, repeatable work and automation.
• Ability to manage several projects simultaneously and keep them on schedule.
• Clear communication with customers and teammates.
• Native-level Italian and fluent English required.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with LLMs, including prompting, evaluations, or building small agents.
• Exposure to collections, lending, telecommunications, utilities, or other customer operations.
• Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics degree, or equivalent experience.
