Director of Strategy and Capabilities

Location: Remote within the United States; approximately eight trips per year, including occasional travel to Staples, Minnesota, for meetings, professional development, or team activities.

Annual salary: $154,400–$193,000; the range reflects the minimum to midpoint of Grade 19 and may exceed the midpoint based on experience.

What you will do

• Lead the development and implementation of strategy for Enterprise Solutions, integrating it with broader functional strategy.
• Define cross-functional capabilities connecting people, processes, data, and technology to client value and revenue.
• Develop business plans, tactical resource plans, policies, procedures, budgets, headcount recommendations, targets, and project schedules.
• Evaluate and structure strategic transactions, including alliances, collaborations, mergers and acquisitions, and in- and out-licensing initiatives.
• Direct a midsize, diverse team; manage performance, development, coaching, conflict resolution, and accountability.
• Engage stakeholders and provide authoritative recommendations on technical or professional solutions that improve organizational performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent post-secondary training, professional education, and related experience equal to four years.
• Nine years of demonstrated experience in strategic planning, strategic initiatives management, solution development, P&L management, business development, or related roles.
• The required experience must include public speaking and presentations, budget design and management, digital strategy creation, and business consulting and strategy work.
• Seven years of demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience, including managerial experience.
• Experience planning and managing resources to deliver predetermined objectives, with over three to six years of managerial experience.
• Ability to meet the position’s travel requirements, approximately eight times per year.
