EDA Tool Software Engineer (RC Extraction)

Location: Hybrid role based at an assigned hirify.global site in Austin, Texas; Hillsboro, Oregon; Folsom, California; or Santa Clara, California, United States.

Annual salary range: $128,880–$245,160 USD.

What you will do

• Enable EDA vendor tools for RC extraction, including StarRC, Quantus, and xACT, on hirify.global process technologies.
• Enable electromagnetic tools for high-frequency analysis and support interconnect technology development.
• Coordinate with technology specification owners and validation teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Work with EDA vendors to enable new features and customized solutions.
• Support debugging and customer-facing activities related to RC extraction and high-speed interconnect analysis.

Requirements

• BS degree with 4+ years of relevant experience, or MS degree with 3+ years of experience, or PhD degree in EE/ECE or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in either RC extraction flow enablement using StarRC, Quantus, or SMNS-xACT, or interconnect stack development for EDA tools such as ITF, ICT, MIPT, or EM stack.
• At least 2 years of scripting experience in Perl, Python, or TCL.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, creativity, flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability.

Nice to have

• 2+ years of experience with DRC/LVS runset development or validation using Calibre, Pegasus, or ICV.
• Customer support and debugging experience in RC extraction.
• Experience with high-frequency tools such as Keysight-Momentum, Ansys, or Cadence-EMX.
• Experience with JIRA and GIT.
• Proficiency with CMOS process technology.
• Experience with electromagnetic modeling and simulation for signal integrity and crosstalk analysis on high-speed or high-density on-chip and on-package interconnects.
• Experience working with EDA tool vendors to enable customized solutions.
