Thesis: Continuous Application Upgrade via GitHub Agentic Workflows (AI)

Location: Onsite at the hirify.global office in Sundsvall, Sweden. Start date: January or March 2027.

What you will do

• Design and implement an automated application maintenance workflow using GitHub Actions and AI agents.
• Identify outdated dependencies, vulnerable libraries, and deprecated API usage.
• Classify maintenance tasks by risk and delegate them to appropriate agents.
• Automate low-risk upgrades, refactoring, testing, and validation.
• Prepare pull requests for high-risk changes requiring human review and approval.
• Evaluate risk assessment, maintenance automation, manual-effort reduction, transparency, and reliability.

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
• Graduation in June 2027.
• Fluency in written and spoken Swedish.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
