Thesis: Agentic AI-Ops: Autonomous AI Agents for Production Infrastructure

Location: Onsite at the Sundsvall office, Sweden

What you will do

• Build a small, isolated Kubernetes cluster and Jira board for the thesis environment.
• Connect AI agents to the infrastructure through MCP tool calls or a comparable approach.
• Evaluate graded autonomy levels, from observation and ticket creation to approved and tightly scoped autonomous actions.
• Inject controlled pod, resource, and network failures and assess agent diagnoses, actions, and generated Jira tickets.
• Compare agent results with human operator baselines and investigate safe integration into DevOps workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science in Computer Science or Engineering.
• Expected graduation in June 2027.
• Fluency in Swedish, both written and spoken.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
