Product Operations Manager (AI)

Location: USA Remote; Pacific Time Zone preferred. The role is remote, with periodic in-person meetups and company offsites.

Base salary: $160,000–180,000 USD per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Own the product metrics operating system, including metric taxonomy, source-of-truth dashboards, reporting cadence, and accountability.
• Partner with product managers to connect activation, adoption, retention, quality, and delivery metrics to customer and business outcomes.
• Run quarterly planning and six-week release cycles with plans, owners, dependencies, and target metrics.
• Lead sizing, track engineering capacity, and communicate expected product outcomes to leadership.
• Own release readiness, countdowns, go/no-go decisions, sign-offs, release notes, and post-launch checks.
• Build ticket intake, customer-theme aggregation, dashboards, reporting, and AI-assisted automations for readiness reports, metric anomalies, and operational maintenance.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in product operations, technical program management, or engineering program management at a software company.
• Experience running agile release cycles for engineering teams of 10–40 people.
• Expertise in Jira and Confluence, with comfort building dashboards and light automation.
• Technical ability to follow architecture discussions and challenge estimates.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure, communicate risks directly, and flag delivery slips early.
• Experience building processes from scratch at a startup without making them unnecessarily heavy.

Nice to have

• B2B SaaS experience with enterprise customers and SLAs.
• Experience with QA and release automation.
• Background in compliance, security, or GRC software.
• Experience using AI tools to automate reporting and operations work.
• Preference for candidates in the San Francisco Bay Area.
