Manufacturing Technical Trainer

Location: On-site in Wilton, Connecticut, United States; onsite presence is required for in-person work-related events, trainings, and meetings.

What you will do

• Deliver interactive technical instructor-led, virtual, and on-the-job training with subject matter experts and business stakeholders.
• Facilitate learner engagement, knowledge transfer, practical application, and skill development through classroom and virtual methods.
• Prepare training sessions, demonstrations, exercises, supplemental materials, job aids, and performance-support tools.
• Onboard and prepare less-experienced trainers, co-facilitators, and subject matter experts through train-the-trainer sessions, dry runs, and readiness reviews.
• Contribute to accurate, effective learning solutions, learner qualification or certification activities, and updates to materials as processes and business needs change.
• Collect feedback, propose improvements, support L&KM quality standards, and maintain relationships with learners, subject matter experts, stakeholders, and learning colleagues.

Requirements

• Bachelor-level thinking demonstrated through education or relevant work experience.
• Relevant experience delivering instructor-led, technical, operational, or workplace learning.
• Experience applying didactic or adult-learning techniques and using training-delivery tools.
• Ability to understand and deliver medium-complexity subject matter and prepare, adapt, and deliver training materials with limited guidance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and effective collaboration with learners, subject matter experts, business stakeholders, and learning professionals.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
• Must be legally authorized to access controlled technology under United States export regulations before beginning work.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in education, instructional design, engineering, manufacturing, a technical discipline, or a related field.
• Technical training experience in manufacturing, engineering, operations, or a high-technology environment.
• Experience facilitating in-person and virtual learning, train-the-trainer sessions, delivery dry runs, or facilitator-readiness activities.
• Experience developing or improving instructor guides, learner materials, presentations, practical exercises, job aids, or assessments.
• Familiarity with learning management systems, virtual classroom platforms, and common content-delivery tools.
• Experience supporting practical demonstrations, hands-on learning, qualification, or certification activities.
