Mechanical, Electrical, and Structural Tool Install Engineer (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Hillsboro, Oregon, United States; hybrid model with time split between the assigned site and off-site work.

Annual salary: $76,390–$146,440 USD.

What you will do

• Design construction-ready facilities solutions for first-of-a-kind semiconductor manufacturing tool installations.
• Design steel pedestal structures supporting 300MM manufacturing tools, low-voltage and signaling systems, or liquid, chemical, gas, HVAC, and drain systems, depending on discipline.
• Develop, pilot, and refine construction methodologies through engineering experiments.
• Collaborate with suppliers to qualify and improve equipment and systems for manufacturing and facility requirements.
• Prepare and maintain construction specifications and operations documentation for facilities infrastructure.
• Support technology transfers, equipment startups, and operational improvements in efficiency, energy use, and safety.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or a related field, plus 0–1 years of hands-on experience gained through internships, academic projects, coursework, or hands-on training; alternatively, a related master’s degree with no prior professional experience.
• Experience with CAD modeling tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, or equivalent programs.
• Technical writing skills for specifications and engineering documentation.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with diverse teams and suppliers.
