Accounting Manager - General Ledger Americas (Automotive)

What you will do

• Prepare accurate financial statements under Swiss GAAP and local GAAP.
• Ensure accounting policies are followed and balance sheet and profit-and-loss figures accurately represent the entity’s financial position.
• Coordinate with finance verticals to close books and complete reporting on time.
• Supervise accounting staff, including employees in multiple locations, and review accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general accounting documentation.
• Authorize payments, ensure accurate transaction entry, and monitor statistical reports.
• Resolve complex accounting issues, improve procedures and systems, and support Production Controlling with controlling and reporting questions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in an accounting leadership role.
• 5+ years of experience as a certified public accountant recommended.
• Knowledge of purchasing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general accounting, accounting regulations, and financial statement practices.
• Knowledge of data-processing techniques applied to accounting systems and SAP or a similar FICO accounting system.
• Ability to prepare accurate and complete financial reports from accounting records.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional leadership, budgeting, financial forecasting, and financial analysis skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Certified public accountant experience of 5+ years.
