Digital Product Owner – EMR & API Integration

Location: Valencia, Spain; hybrid 4+1 remote work policy. The employee will be based at Parque Tecnológico de Paterna.

What you will do

• Own the product vision, roadmap, backlog, release priorities, scope, and outcomes for an EMR and API integration product.
• Define requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery priorities based on value, risk, dependencies, feasibility, and total cost of ownership.
• Work with fertility clinics and EMR providers to understand workflows and define data, quality, completeness, and timing requirements.
• Improve API documentation, onboarding, testing, production readiness, monitoring, support, versioning, and backward compatibility.
• Collaborate with the Tech Lead, developers, external technical teams, Business Process Owners, Enterprise Architecture, and other Digital Product Owners on technical trade-offs and dependencies.
• Coordinate rollout and operational readiness while using feedback and KPIs to improve adoption, data quality, reliability, efficiency, and business value.

Requirements

• Proven experience personally building and scaling a B2B API or integration product from MVP or first production launch to adoption across multiple customers or systems.
• 5+ years of product ownership or product management experience, combining product strategy with hands-on prioritization and delivery in agile or product-oriented environments.
• Strong technical product experience with software, APIs, or integrations, including translating clinic workflows and internal process needs into API requirements.
• Technical fluency in APIs, data contracts, authentication, versioning, backward compatibility, and reliability; ability to read API documentation, follow data flows, and make credible product trade-offs. Coding is not required.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills, including collaboration with Business Process Owners, expectation alignment, and declining misaligned or low-value requests.
• Fluent English, written and verbal; CV submission and interviews must be in English.

Nice to have

• Experience with EMR/EHR, healthcare, or laboratory systems and familiarity with FHIR or HL7.
• Previous experience as a software or integration developer, solution architect, technical business analyst, or implementation consultant.
