Associate Analyst - Network Planning Operations Integration (Airline Network Planning)

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States; hybrid arrangement with approximately 50% of the time onsite at the Chicago office

Base pay: $66,500–$86,616 per year, plus eligibility for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.

What you will do

• Build strategic scenarios covering infrastructure, schedule integrity, and air and ground operations support.
• Analyze fleet, network, hub, and infrastructure allocation and utilization and provide recommendations.
• Interpret and communicate network schedule details to internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop and monitor operational criteria and key metrics for a portfolio of hubs and spokes, including gating, ground operations, and scheduling standards.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with United Express, hub station leadership, and operations-focused teams to align schedule requirements, capabilities, and future strategies.
• Meet frequent deadlines supporting the network schedule development process.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Proficiency with SQL and Excel, including compiling data for analysis and reporting.
• Strong presentation, analytical, stakeholder management, and relationship management skills.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.
• Successful completion of an interview is required.
• Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position.

Nice to have

• Experience in airline network planning, demand planning, operations analysis, airport operations, or business process improvement.
• Understanding of generative AI capabilities and limitations, with the ability to use AI for research, analysis, content creation, and problem solving while validating outputs and following responsible AI, data privacy, and security policies.
