Project Manager - Construction

Location: Hybrid in Concord, California, United States, with travel to project sites as required

Salary: $117,250–$158,625 per year

What you will do

• Manage multiple construction projects from scope development and estimating through mobilization, field execution, completion, and closeout.
• Develop and maintain project scopes, budgets, schedules, staffing plans, resource requirements, and critical milestones.
• Monitor labor, equipment, materials, subcontractor expenses, project costs, forecasting, billing, and profitability; manage change orders and additional work authorizations.
• Coordinate field activities, logistics, subcontractors, vendors, equipment, materials, trucking, disposal, and changing site conditions.
• Promote safety, verify training and PPE, participate in incident investigations, and ensure QA/QC and contract requirements are met.
• Act as the primary client contact, lead coordination meetings, support estimating and proposals, and provide direction and mentorship to field personnel.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of construction-specific experience, with demonstrated experience managing construction projects, field operations, or both.
• Experience managing project budgets, schedules, labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and change orders.
• Working knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, equipment, and field operations.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and contract documents.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and identify cost overruns, schedule impacts, scope changes, and corrective actions.
• Strong understanding of construction safety requirements and jobsite hazard recognition.
• Strong financial and commercial awareness, including labor and equipment cost tracking, forecasting, and project profitability.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, and construction/project management software; valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as required.
