Security Engineer (AI)

Location: United States — Remote

Base salary: $105,000–$123,000 USD per year.

What you will do

• Operate and sustain cloud, IAM, and AI technology platforms.
• Implement and maintain access controls, identity policies, and authentication and authorization systems.
• Harden and monitor cloud infrastructure with senior cloud architects.
• Help secure AI/ML pipelines and agentic workflows as they scale.
• Troubleshoot, automate, and maintain systems using IT administration or software engineering skills.
• Document processes, contribute to runbooks and playbooks, and share knowledge while adapting to changing tools and priorities.

Requirements

• Strong IT administration and/or software development foundation required.
• Hands-on experience in at least one of IAM, AI/ML infrastructure, or cloud platforms including GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Comfort with scripting, automation, and troubleshooting.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills for supporting engineers across multiple teams.
• Comfort with ambiguity and rapid change in a fast-moving startup environment.
• Team-first mindset, eagerness to learn, generous context-sharing, and motivation to help teammates succeed.

Nice to have

• Security experience or working knowledge, with strong fundamentals and a desire to grow into security.
