Investment Operations Assistant Manager (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid in London, United Kingdom, with 3 days in the office

What you will do

• Support the daily running of UK share dealing and investment operations, including corporate actions, client interest monitoring, incentive payment controls, and controlled process documentation.
• Analyze client incentive and performance data and prepare reporting and management information for the ISA committee.
• Support ISA subscriptions and transfers, SIPP administration, and monitoring of regulatory developments and operational impact.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and strengthen manual operational processes.
• Help specify, build, and test system changes while preventing regressions in trading and investment workflows.
• Provide operational expertise and senior escalation support for complex client queries and complaints, collaborating with Compliance, Risk, Finance, Dealing, Legal, and Account Management.

Requirements

• Experience in an operational or customer-facing role, ideally within a UK fintech, broker, investment platform, or wealth manager.
• Understanding of the UK share dealing environment, retail investing, and online wealth management.
• Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
• Strong control mindset, including experience operating and evidencing first-line controls and supporting audits or regulatory reviews.
• Strong analytical ability and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret data and turn it into clear recommendations.
• Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with data or reporting tools.
• Clear written and spoken English, with the ability to explain investment and product topics to non-specialists.

Nice to have

• Subject matter expertise in SIPPs or Stocks and Shares ISAs, including ISA reporting or SIPP administration.
• Customer-facing support experience at a share dealing platform, SIPP administrator, or Stocks and Shares ISA provider.
• Knowledge of corporate actions and trade settlement.
• Data and dashboarding skills using Tableau, Looker, or similar tools.
• Experience using AI tools to automate or improve operational processes.
• Experience with process improvement, automation, or change delivery within an operations function.
• A relevant professional qualification, such as the CISI Investment Operations Certificate or equivalent.
