Lead Algorithm & Signal Processing Engineer

Location: <hirify.globalong>Woburn, Massachusetts, United Stateshirify.globalong>, with additional opportunities in Arlington, Virginia, and Dayton, Ohio.

Full-time salary: $157,000–$220,000 per year.

What you will do

• Design and apply signal processing and machine learning techniques to radar, RF sensing, and counter-sensing challenges.
• Develop models and simulations for advanced RF systems.
• Develop algorithms for signal detection, classification, electronic support measures, electronic attack and protection, and cognitive electronic warfare.
• Lead small teams and technical projects.
• Collaborate across engineering teams and with academic and induhirify.globaly partners to deploy capabilities into prototype systems.
• Support business development and proposal writing.

Requirements

• <hirify.globalong>U.S. citizenship is required to obtain the Top Secret security clearance required by the U.S. Government.hirify.globalong>
• Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
• 5–7+ years of relevant experience depending on degree: 7+ years with a BS or 5+ years with an MS.
• Experience in at least two relevant areas, including RF or radar signal processing, optimization, waveform design, electronic warfare, machine learning, adaptive signal processing, AI/ML algorithm development, test and evaluation, modeling and simulation, systems engineering, test engineering, radar modeling, or RF systems prototyping.
• Proficiency in one or more scientific or mathematical programming languages, such as MATLAB, Python, or C/C++.
• hirify.globalong mathematical, troubleshooting, written, and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Active security clearance.
• Defense-sector RF experience, particularly in sensing, electronic warfare, electronic attack, electronic protection, cognitive EW, or advanced electronic support measures.
• Experience with NLP, image recognition, semantic segmentation, reinforcement learning, Bayesian methods, deep convolutional or graph neural networks, PyTorch, Ray, TensorFlow, or MLflow.
• Experience translating customer and mission needs into end-to-end analytical solutions.
• Ability to apply innovative interdisciplinary approaches to challenging engineering problems.
• Ability to present high-level and deep technical solution briefings to customers and senior management.
