Supply Chain Consultant - Defence & Security

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid work with a minimum of two days each week in an office or on a client site. Some assignments may require regular travel and up to five days per week at a client site.

What you will do

• Improve supply chain performance, resilience, and readiness for defence organisations, manufacturers, and suppliers.
• Analyse complex international supply chains and multi-tier supplier networks.
• Develop and implement supply chain, procurement, and supplier-management strategies.
• Manage supplier performance, supply chain risk, production constraints, planning, forecasting, sourcing, inventory, and supplier collaboration.
• Support production ramp-up, manufacturing scale-up, operational readiness, and supply chain transformation programmes.
• Use data, analytics, and digital technology to improve supply chain visibility and decision-making while working with senior client stakeholders and supporting business development.

Requirements

• Experience in complex industrial supply chains within defence, aerospace, nuclear, energy, oil and gas, manufacturing, or similarly regulated sectors.
• Experience in supply chain, procurement, supplier management, planning, operations, or a related discipline.
• Experience with complex supplier ecosystems, international supply chains, or global sourcing arrangements.
• A track record of delivering supply chain, procurement, or operational improvement programmes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to collaborate with clients and adapt experience to new environments and challenges.
• Applicants for relevant UK roles must meet security-clearance eligibility requirements, including British citizenship or at least five years of continuous UK residency where higher national security vetting is required. All PA employees undergo background checks and Baseline Personnel Security Standard checks.

Nice to have

• Experience in supply chain transformation, resilience, risk management, strategic sourcing, supplier development, supplier performance improvement, supply chain design, modelling, or network optimisation.
• Experience with production ramp-up, manufacturing scale-up, operational readiness, or digital, data, and analytics solutions in supply chain environments.
• Consulting or client-facing transformation experience.
• MCIPS, CIPS, APICS/ASCM, CILT, or an equivalent professional qualification.
