Procurement Specialist (Entry Level)

Location: Hybrid, based in Harwell, Oxfordshire, UK. Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK.

What you will do

• Create and update purchase orders in internal systems according to agreed commercial terms.
• Follow up and expedite supplier orders, track delivery commitments, and escalate risks or delays.
• Coordinate with Finance on invoice processing and maintain accurate procurement, supplier, order, delivery, and commitment records.
• Provide procurement inputs to inventory and logistics teams to support material planning.
• Track supplier performance, including cost, lead time, and delivery data, and support related reporting.
• Maintain procurement and supply chain KPIs, analyze lead-time and delivery data, and support supplier and market intelligence activities.

Requirements

• Understanding of procurement and purchase order processes.
• Ability to manage procurement data accurately in ERP or purchasing systems.
• Understanding of supplier lead times, delivery commitments, and order tracking.
• Confidence working with data, systems, and spreadsheets.
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Clear and professional communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities within defined processes and approval controls.
• Genuine interest in procurement and supply chain, with motivation to learn, develop, and grow in the role.
