Business Analyst (SAP)

Location: Portugal, Lisbon/Amadora; hybrid working model with remote work permitted within Portugal

What you will do

• Maintain and develop closing and reporting tools, including automation, data validations, notifications, and internal controls in the BlackLine Smart Close environment.
• Identify solutions to address problems in SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments.
• Act as a data steward and perform data quality controls.
• Support digitalization initiatives and financial-process projects, including the SAP S/4HANA transition and BlackLine deployment.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams across different cultures and nationalities worldwide.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting and Finance, Information Systems applied in Accounting, or a similar field.
• At least 5 years of experience in financial processes, accounting, reporting, and closing, including requirements gathering, process mapping, and workflow optimization.
• Ability to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Experience implementing, maintaining, or supporting SAP modules and ability to work in a changing environment and learn on the job.
• Strong SAP skills and experience with BlackLine Smart Close.
• Strong critical-thinking, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, initiative, and proactive-working skills.
• Fluent English is mandatory.

Nice to have

• SAP S/4HANA certification.
• German and/or Portuguese language skills.
