Electrical Engineer (Hardware)

Location: Kyiv or Lviv, with remote working available within Ukraine only.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end development of complex digital, analog, and mixed-signal devices from concept to mass production.
• Define system-level hardware architectures and select components based on cost, performance, and availability.
• Design multi-layer PCBs with emphasis on signal integrity, power integrity, and EMC/EMI compliance.
• Perform advanced measurements, debug complex hardware issues, and analyze results using high-end laboratory equipment.
• Develop design-for-testing and design-for-manufacturability guidelines, and conduct schematic and PCB layout reviews.
• Mentor junior engineers and share hardware development best practices.

Requirements

• BS degree or higher in Electronics or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience designing consumer electronics products.
• Practical knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, component selection, and cost-schedule optimization.
• Deep understanding of electrical engineering standards and specifications, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Experience designing mixed-signal hardware schematics and layouts with CAD tools.
• Experience with high-speed digital electronics, power harvesting, low-power electronics, and battery-powered electronics.
• Experience solving thermal design challenges and designing outdoor, weatherproof products.
• Design and troubleshooting skills for power electronics, plus an understanding of product tradeoffs related to user experience.
• Good written and spoken English.

Nice to have

• DSP or FPGA experience, including Verilog or VHDL.
• Python or LabVIEW experience for test automation.
• Familiarity with RF design basics or wireless communication modules such as BLE, Wi-Fi, or LoRa.
• Knowledge of thermal management in electronics.
