Senior Hardware Engineer (Power Electronics)

What you will do

• Lead mixed analog and digital hardware development for embedded control, communications, sensing, motor-drive interfaces, and power-conversion systems.
• Own the PCBA lifecycle from architecture, requirements, schematic design, layout review, component selection, and prototyping through validation and production release.
• Define hardware requirements, design trade-offs, validation strategies, acceptance criteria, and digital-control requirements.
• Model and analyze electrical systems, lead board- and system-level debugging, and resolve EMI/EMC, thermal, grounding, signal-integrity, power-integrity, and environmental issues.
• Drive root-cause analysis for field failures, production issues, and reliability concerns while supporting suppliers, certification, DFM/DFT, and engineering changes.
• Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, sourcing, quality, reliability, and product teams; mentor junior and intermediate engineers; and produce technical documentation and release packages.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Control and Automation Engineering, or a similar field.
• 7+ years of industry experience in electrical/electronic hardware development, including proven delivery of production-ready hardware used in field-deployed equipment.
• Strong mixed-signal hardware design experience covering analog and digital circuits, microcontrollers, power electronics, protection circuits, and communication interfaces.
• Strong PCBA lifecycle experience, including schematic capture, PCB layout review, prototype bring-up, validation, and production support.
• Experience with industrial, outdoor, energy, automotive, agricultural, or other harsh-environment equipment.
• Hands-on debugging skills using lab equipment and structured troubleshooting methods; understanding of EMI/EMC mitigation, grounding, filtering, thermal behavior, and reliability.
• Ability to translate requirements into robust hardware architectures and validation plans; familiarity with the V-cycle development model.
• Experience with Altium Designer or similar ECAD tools, and experience conducting or supporting reliability tests.
• Fluent English required.

Nice to have

• Experience with embedded firmware interaction, C-based embedded systems, Python-based test automation, or data analysis.
• Experience with system modeling, simulation, control loops, motor drives, or power converters.
• Master’s degree or higher in a relevant technical field.
