Mechanical Integrity Engineering Consultant I (Recent Mechanical/Civil Engineering Grads)

Location: Louisville, KY, USA; must be local to the Louisville area or willing to relocate to the area. The role includes 30% travel outside the office and field work in industrial environments.

What you will do

• Perform field inspections of storage tanks, pressure vessels, and piping systems under qualified API inspection personnel.
• Prepare calculations in accordance with API, ASME, STI, and related standards.
• Create written reports using Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Develop AutoCAD drawings and isometrics.
• Assist with projects ranging from $5,000 to $100,000 and support client relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field; applicants who have not graduated with a BS degree should not apply.
• U.S. Person status is required due to ITAR-controlled information; eligible categories include U.S. citizens or nationals, lawful permanent residents, refugees, and asylees in the United States.
• Ability and motivation to obtain API or CWI certification through on-the-job training and ATS pre-test support in API-510, API-570, API-653, or CWI.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to travel 30% outside the office.
• Ability to learn and comply with company policies and procedures, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to pass a drug screen and hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to wear required safety equipment and work at heights, in confined spaces, and around operating equipment, radiation, and hazardous materials.

Nice to have

• Mechanical Integrity experience.
• Experience or interest in FEA.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.
• Desire to obtain Engineer in Training or Professional Engineer licensure.
