2027 Summer Mechanical Engineer Intern - BS or MS (Austin, TX)

Location: Austin, TX, United States; onsite internship with 10% travel. Relocation eligible.

Salary: $31–$41 per hour.

What you will do

• Design, procure, test, and iterate prototype mechanical parts in a research and rapid development group.
• Create CAD models using Creo or SolidWorks.
• Perform mechanical design and finite element analysis of components.
• Work with suppliers on rapid prototyping and effective manufacturing methods.
• Design experiments to test prototype assemblies and improve designs.
• Collaborate with physicists, electrical engineers, and software experts.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Must be in good academic standing at a university.
• Quick learner.

Nice to have

• GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale.
• Experience in semiconductor processing or manufacturing.
