What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain Power BI datasets, data models, relationships, DAX measures, and dashboards.
• Trace data flows from source systems through Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Fabric into Power BI, diagnosing reporting issues independently.
• Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Own reporting data accuracy and quality, troubleshoot issues, and document data models, datasets, and reporting logic.
• Use AI tools for query drafting, DAX, Power Query, documentation, and reporting automation while independently validating outputs.
• Build AI-powered automation for manual reporting workflows and expand self-service analytics; grow into Customer Operations systems including ChurnZero, Salesforce, and Zendesk with training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, business analytics, or a similar field, or equivalent demonstrated experience in BI-specific roles.
• 2–3 years of hands-on Power BI experience building datasets and data models, including relationships, DAX measures, and Power Query.
• Working knowledge of SQL for reading and validating data and understanding joins, keys, and data grain.
• Ability to explain what data means and where it comes from, not only reproduce reports.
• Demonstrated AI-native fluency: integrating AI tools into BI workflows, validating outputs before stakeholder delivery, and judging where AI and automation are appropriate.

Nice to have

• Direct experience with Microsoft Fabric, including lakehouses or dataflows, or Azure Data Factory.
• Experience owning a BI dataset or model end to end.
