Senior Product Designer / UX-UI Lead (AI)

Location: Orange County, CA; currently remote, transitioning to onsite in Irvine. Direct-hire hybrid.

Salary: $150,000–$185,000 base salary, plus equity opportunity and comprehensive benefits.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end UX and UI design for native iOS and Android applications.
• Translate product concepts and business requirements into intuitive, production-ready experiences, including user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs in Figma.
• Own and evolve scalable design systems, component libraries, design tokens, accessibility standards, and documentation for multi-brand products.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, QA, Analytics, and executive stakeholders through design, implementation, and release reviews.
• Conduct usability testing, gather customer insights, and validate design decisions using research and data.
• Mentor junior designers and help establish design best practices.

Requirements

• 7+ years of Product Design, UX/UI Design, or Digital Product Design experience, with a strong portfolio of polished consumer-facing mobile applications.
• Advanced Figma expertise, including Auto Layout, components, variants, design libraries, prototyping, and design systems.
• Deep understanding of native iOS and Android design patterns and best practices.
• Experience creating or significantly maturing enterprise-grade design systems.
• Strong UX architecture and interaction design capabilities, including build-ready designs and close collaboration with engineering.
• Demonstrated success designing complex user journeys such as onboarding, account management, subscriptions, payments, billing, support, or self-service experiences.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Portfolio must show native mobile application design, end-to-end UX problem solving, design system ownership, component architecture, high-fidelity visual and interaction design, and scalability across multiple products, brands, or platforms.

Nice to have

• Experience designing mobile-first subscription products.
• Background in telecommunications, communications technology, fintech, SaaS, or digital consumer platforms.
• Experience with white-label, multi-tenant, or multi-brand product environments.
• Familiarity with AI-powered customer experiences and conversational interfaces.
• Experience with activation, payments, recurring billing, or self-service account management workflows.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, product analytics platforms such as Amplitude, Mixpanel, or GA4, user research platforms such as Maze, UserTesting, or Lookback, and Jira, Linear, or equivalent tools.
