Platform Engineer (Kubernetes)

Location: Hybrid in Kraków, Poland

What you will do

• Contribute to building and evolving the Kubernetes platform, including cluster lifecycle, availability, scalability, workload scheduling and capacity management.
• Support AWS cloud and networking foundations, including account structures, network topology, cluster networking, service connectivity and edge integrations.
• Automate infrastructure and workflows with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD.
• Contribute to reliability, observability, monitoring, logging, alerting, on-call learning and incident-driven improvements.
• Support platform security, developer self-service capabilities, sensible defaults and tooling that reduces operational complexity.
• Improve infrastructure cost visibility, allocation and optimisation across compute, storage and network usage.

Requirements

• Some hands-on commercial experience in software engineering, infrastructure, cloud or a related area.
• Hands-on commercial experience with Kubernetes and container-based platforms.
• Experience or practical knowledge of cloud infrastructure, including compute and networking.
• Experience with AWS and EKS.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code, infrastructure automation and CI/CD practices.
• Familiarity with observability concepts, including monitoring, logging and alerting.
• Basic understanding of reliability engineering, incident learning, and infrastructure and Kubernetes security practices.
• Analytical troubleshooting skills, collaboration, knowledge sharing, curiosity and willingness to learn.

Nice to have

• Hands-on knowledge of Terraform and Atlantis.
• Experience with Argo CD and GitHub Actions.
• Knowledge of OpenTelemetry.
• Experience with capacity or performance optimisation.
• Exposure to FinOps, cloud cost visibility or cloud cost optimisation.
