Fund CFO/Fund Controller – Private Debt

Location: New York, United States; hybrid working model with time split between office and home discussed during the application process.

Salary: $203,000–$255,000 annually, excluding incentive compensation and other remuneration.

What you will do

• Lead and develop the US Infrastructure Debt Fund CFO team across fund accounting, reporting, operations, governance, and controls.
• Provide senior financial and operational oversight for multiple credit funds and separately managed accounts.
• Review and approve quarterly and annual financial statements, investor reporting, capital activity, and performance disclosures.
• Manage relationships with fund administrators, auditors, tax advisers, investors, regulators, and internal governance committees.
• Partner with Investment, Investor Relations, Legal, Tax, Compliance, and Operations teams on fund launches, transactions, financing, and product development.
• Oversee liquidity, cash forecasting, facilities, capital planning, process improvements, governance frameworks, and technology solutions.

Requirements

• Significant alternative investment fund finance experience with deep expertise in Infrastructure Debt, Private Credit, Infrastructure, or Private Equity fund structures.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification strongly preferred.
• Leadership experience managing and developing high-performing teams in fund accounting, fund finance, or fund operations.
• Strong understanding of closed-end fund structures, investor allocations, capital calls, distributions, partnership accounting, and fund governance.
• Experience overseeing fund financial statements, investor reporting, audits, tax reporting, and regulatory requirements for institutional investment vehicles.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders across investment, finance, and operational functions.
• Experience supporting complex transactions, fund launches, financing arrangements, and strategic growth initiatives within an alternatives platform.
• Strong commercial judgment, organisational and project management skills, and the ability to translate complex financial, legal, and operational matters into clear recommendations.
• Ability to leverage AI tools responsibly and ethically to improve productivity, workflows, and business problem-solving.
• Advanced proficiency in financial modelling, Excel, and fund reporting systems, with experience driving technology and process optimisation.
