What you will do

• Maintain supplier purchase orders and planning schedules for purchased components and finished goods across five plants, more than 2,500 part numbers, and 100 domestic and overseas vendors.
• Manage MRP exception messages, purchase order date adjustments, expedited transportation, receiving issues, and vendor invoice-related problems.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to prevent material shortages, manufacturing downtime, capacity issues, and excessive air freight costs.
• Maintain inventory and system parameters to reduce overstock and shortages while increasing inventory turns.
• Partner with manufacturing, suppliers, buyers, production scheduling, and supply chain teams to reduce lead times and minimum order quantities.
• Drive continuous improvement through smaller, more frequent deliveries and just-in-time processes.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in materials planning and scheduling in a manufacturing or purchasing environment.
• Experience with inventory management, ERP/MRP, and Kanban systems.
• Experience with Power BI and CoPilot.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Demonstrated continuous improvement, mathematical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
• An associate degree in Business or Operations Management is desired.

• Advanced SAP knowledge.
• Ability to handle frequent customer service contact, interact with upper management, analyze data, propose solutions, and improve processes.
• Ability to improve vendor delivery performance in challenging situations.
