TL;DR
Manufacturing Manager (Quantum Computing): Leading the industrialization and manufacturing of ultra-high-vacuum subsystems for quantum computing platforms with an accent on multidisciplinary leadership, manufacturing strategy, and scalable production systems. Focus on transitioning complex hardware from prototype development into repeatable production, establishing validation and release processes, and solving quality, yield, throughput, and reliability challenges.
Location: Broomfield, Colorado, United States; onsite
Salary: USD 162,000–218,000 per year
Company
hirify.global develops a full-stack quantum computing platform for real-world applications across pharmaceuticals, materials science, financial services, government, industry, and research.
What you will do
Lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers, physicists, and technicians, including hiring, coaching, performance management, succession planning, and capability development.
Own industrialization and manufacturing strategy for ultra-high-vacuum subsystems from early builds through release, production ramp, and sustained production.
Define manufacturing readiness, capacity planning, process controls, facility requirements, validation strategies, release gates, and lifecycle ownership.
Develop production systems including process flows, work instructions, build travelers, drawings, inspection plans, test procedures, tooling, fixtures, training, and engineering change control.
Partner with design, quality, supply chain, operations, program management, suppliers, and other stakeholders to improve manufacturability, yield, reliability, cost, scalability, and delivery.
Provide hands-on technical leadership on the production floor to assemble, integrate, validate, troubleshoot, and deliver complex hardware; travel up to 15%.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher.
At least 8 years of experience in high-technology hardware development, product industrialization, or manufacturing engineering, including at least 3 years leading a multidisciplinary technical or manufacturing team with direct people-management responsibility.
Must be a U.S. Person: U.S. citizen, permanent resident or green card holder, or worker granted asylum or refugee status.
Must not be a national of the People’s Republic of China or Russia unless also a U.S. citizen, due to U.S. government national security requirements.
Nice to have
Advanced degree in physics, mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience transitioning complex prototype hardware into repeatable production-ready systems and leading manufacturing readiness through release and ramp.
Experience with UHV or XHV systems, precision mechanical assemblies, optics, photonics, cryogenics, atomic-physics hardware, or complex scientific instrumentation.
Knowledge of DFM/DFA, process validation, configuration management, product release, engineering change control, and sustained production support.
Experience with manufacturing strategy, readiness plans, capacity models, process definition, facility layouts, tooling, fixtures, test equipment, inspection, training, and manufacturing readiness reviews.
Hands-on experience assembling, integrating, testing, troubleshooting, and improving complex hardware in a cleanroom or controlled manufacturing environment.
Experience with root-cause corrective action, statistical analysis, yield improvement, production metrics, supplier management, outsourcing strategies, and material flow.
Safety-sensitive role requiring a pre-employment drug test.
Flexible work arrangements, employer-subsidized medical, dental, and vision insurance, and a 401(k) plan with company match and student loan repayment benefit.
Equity opportunities, paid time off, sick leave, 12 paid holidays, paid parental leave, and employee discount programs.
