Senior Network Engineer (Palo Alto)

What you will do

• Design, implement, and evolve network infrastructure, security policies, practices, and standards.
• Develop monitoring and proactive operations solutions to reduce time to repair and improve service levels.
• Monitor and manage firewalls, routers, switches, wireless controllers, IP services, DHCP, IP management, server load balancing, and related network elements.
• Manage Palo Alto firewalls, wireless infrastructure, SD-WAN, and other network technologies.
• Plan network architecture, performance, capacity, business continuity, and disaster recovery.
• Collaborate with executive leadership on network processes, systems, security, and company goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field experience.
• 7+ years of network experience, including at least 5 years at an engineering level.
• Expertise in automation-driven operations focused on performance, resource utilization, productivity, reliability, and scalability.

Nice to have

• Experience designing, implementing, and managing secure networks using modern defenses and capabilities.
• Experience with SD-WAN, hierarchical enterprise LAN, low-latency data center networks, enterprise wireless, cloud networking, VoIP, network access control, IPsec tunnels, client VPNs, and next-generation firewalls.
• ITSM governance experience, including policies, procedures, SLAs, KPIs, and operational metrics.
• CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, PCNSA, or PCNSE certifications.
• Experience with disaster recovery, business continuity, proactive operations, standardization, automation, orchestration, and monitoring frameworks.
• Experience managing availability, performance, and capacity for core network infrastructure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, consultation, and management-advisory skills.
• Ability to solve complex, non-standardized problems involving multiple facets and variables.
• Risk management, controls, compliance, quality assurance, and security experience across networking, hardware, operating systems, cloud, middleware, and databases.
• Experience with managed services, IT outsourcing, and business systems or process planning in the semiconductor or manufacturing industry.
