Network Engineer

What you will do

• Manage network installation and engineering, including LAN/WAN equipment, firewalls, routers, switches, servers, storage, workstations, A/V equipment, and racks.
• Plan network architectures, design layouts, and configure systems for user and organizational requirements.
• Analyze, design, evaluate, select, and upgrade voice, video, and data communications networks, operating systems, and protocol suites.
• Define and strengthen the network security posture through security audits, system-health assessments, and corrective actions.
• Create and maintain build-to and as-built documentation, implementation guides, and test plans.
• Provide Tier I, II, and III support and collaborate with system, storage, and application teams to resolve complex issues.

Requirements

• US citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance are required.
• BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 10+ years of networking engineering experience and 10+ years designing, engineering, and deploying controlled interfaces.
• More than 10 years deploying and managing Cisco, Palo Alto, and Juniper firewall manager servers, including multi-firewall and multicast network solutions.
• Experience designing firewall vendor-transition plans and enabling voice and video traffic across port-based firewalls and NGFW platforms.
• 8+ years configuring and maintaining Cisco ASA and next-generation firewalls.
• Experience with IPsec site-to-site VPNs using PKI/CA and with remote-access VPN solutions.
• 7+ years configuring, designing, maintaining, and troubleshooting LAN/WAN devices; deep knowledge of EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, and IP MPLS; and basic QoS knowledge.
• Experience with network monitoring technologies and complex problem research, management, and resolution.
• Ability to turn ambiguous requirements into actionable technical solutions, collaborate across technical teams, and mentor junior network engineers.

Nice to have

• Experience designing, engineering, and deploying Zero-Trust and MFA solutions.
• Hands-on experience and certifications with Juniper, Palo Alto, or Cisco next-generation firewalls.
• Experience configuring, designing, and troubleshooting QoS in LAN/WAN environments.
• Strong organization, coordination, teamwork, and interpersonal communication skills.
