Systems Engineer - ICN Network PMO (Network Engineering)

Location: Chantilly, Virginia, United States. Onsite only; no remote or telework allowed.

Projected compensation: $135,035.83–$234,801.11 annually.

What you will do

• Support the Engineering Team within a Program Management Office by gathering, documenting, tracking, and closing goals and requirements.
• Coordinate Resource Authority, Technical Authority, Network Requirements Team, Engineer Working Group, Joint Engineering Team, and Technical Expert meetings, summits, and conferences.
• Develop and present enterprise network concepts and solutions involving cloud service providers, SD-WAN operations, network equipment, and communications and information security practices.
• Support software-defined network architecture, global network scaling, traffic engineering, and network resiliency for connectivity to cloud resources.
• Support modeling and simulation of interagency network architectures for capacity planning and future bandwidth requirements.
• Collaborate with PMO leadership, internal and external stakeholders, and mission partners while communicating technical issues to technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

• Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a scientific or technical discipline.
• 10–12 years of experience with a BS, 8–10 years with an MS, or 5–7 years with a PhD.
• Experience and knowledge of eBGP, OSPF, communities, and route policy language on service-provider on-premises infrastructure.
• Ability to create original concepts and theories, adapt equipment and technology to user needs, and convert customer or product requirements into complete systems solutions within technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
• Ability to analyze complex system requirements through functional and timeline analysis, cost estimation, trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies.
• Ability to apply concept-of-operations disciplines to the planning, analysis, design, and construction of information systems across a major organizational sector.
• Knowledge of engineering science and technology, activity and data modeling, transaction flow analysis, internal control, risk analysis, business methods, and performance measurement.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, facilitation ability, proactive working style, and ability to work independently.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Three years of experience in the Intelligence Community.
• Ability to convey technical information to non-technical individuals and identify complex problems, evaluate options, and implement solutions.
• Experience working in a dynamic and challenging environment.
