Software Engineer V (AWS)

Location: Remote work arrangement

Salary: $120,000–$132,000 per year

What you will do

• Analyze user needs and software requirements, assessing design feasibility within time and cost constraints.
• Design, develop, modify, test, validate, and document software systems and specialized utility programs.
• Create, manage, and deploy containers across environments using containerization platforms.
• Collaborate with analysts, engineers, programmers, and users to define system interfaces, capabilities, limitations, and performance requirements.
• Monitor system functionality and ensure operation conforms to specifications.
• Develop and maintain configuration management processes, plans, policies, SOPs, work instructions, and related documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
• 8+ years of Software Engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience developing continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Extensive experience with GitLab and software application development and implementation.
• Experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, and containerization.
• Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash.
• Experience with SCM concepts and methodologies, including branching, merging, and baseline strategies.
• AWS experience and an AWS certification.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with others.
