AI Engineer

Location: Dublin, Ireland; hybrid work with two required in-office days on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday and three work-from-home days. Candidates must be permanently eligible to work in Ireland.

What you will do

• Participate in hands-on technology projects involving data, infrastructure, applications, and AI.
• Apply Python programming, data structures, functions, classes, and data or machine learning libraries.
• Work with LLM APIs, effective prompts, and simple tool-using or retrieval-augmented agents.
• Conduct reproducible experiments using notebooks and managed environments.
• Analyze data with Excel and Power BI and collaborate across technology functions.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a four-year accredited degree program and eligible to return after completing the placement; selected roles may be open to Master’s candidates.
• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, AI, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong Python skills, including core programming, data structures, functions, classes, and data or machine learning libraries.
• Experience with engineering practices, communication, Git, version-control workflows, and reproducible experiments.
• Experience with LLMs and agentic skills, including calling LLM APIs, writing effective prompts, and building a basic tool-using or RAG agent.
• Basic understanding of LLM limitations, including context windows and hallucinations.
• Strong analytical skills using tools such as Excel and Power BI.
• Permanently eligible to work in Ireland and able to work from the Dublin office.
