Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

Location: Dublin, Ireland; Flex work with at least 50% of each quarter spent in the office or in the field with customers, prospects, or partners.

Base salary: €72,000–€108,000 per year in Ireland; bonus or commission and annual refresh stock grants may also apply.

What you will do

• Deploy, configure, and debug AI agents and integrations in live enterprise tenant environments using real-world data and complex customer workflows.
• Lead technical discovery with enterprise stakeholders and translate business requirements into product configurations, proofs of concept, and integration specifications.
• Capture field telemetry, edge-case failures, and customer friction to influence the product roadmap and engineering backlog.
• Transform recurring deployment challenges and custom fixes into standardized, automated, out-of-the-box product capabilities.
• Collaborate with AI Deployment Architects, Product Managers, hirify.global Services leads, and Account Teams throughout project delivery.
• Guide engagements from kickoff through graduation within standard six-month deployment cycles, enabling customer ownership.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Forward Deployed Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Technical Consulting, or Software Development.
• Hands-on coding and debugging skills in Python, Java, or a similar language.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, object-oriented design, system architecture, and integration patterns.
• Experience working directly with enterprise clients on complex software deployments, live data troubleshooting, and custom workflow integration.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% to customer sites.
• Ability to derive generalizable product requirements from bespoke customer issues and communicate technical challenges to non-technical leadership.
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous, and evolving environments across Product, Engineering, and Services teams.
• Highly collaborative, low-ego approach within multidisciplinary account and delivery pods.

Nice to have

• Applied experience with LLM-powered or agentic AI systems, including prompt or context engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, evaluations, or agent orchestration frameworks.
• Working understanding of how model behavior creates product and customer-facing issues in the field.
