Project Management Specialist (Associate or Mid-Level)

Location: Wichita, Kansas, United States; onsite, union-represented position

Salary: $60,200–$92,300 for Associate (Level 2) or $76,150–$116,800 for Mid-Level (Level 3) per year.

What you will do

• Oversee ongoing project operations and coordinate between program management, planning, project teams, and Operations leadership.
• Review project status and budgets, manage schedules, and prepare status reports.
• Assess production issues and develop resolutions supporting productivity, quality, and customer objectives.
• Monitor project progress, intervene when needed, and solve problems with project managers, line managers, customers, and stakeholders.
• Coordinate multiple projects, assess and mitigate risks, and lead cross-functional teams toward project goals.
• Support team training, mentoring, development, and new strategies.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of related experience in a highly regulated, relevant manufacturing environment.
• Strong computer skills with Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance and Special Program Access; U.S. Government requirements include U.S. citizenship.
• Successful candidates must be able to secure program access approval.

Nice to have

• For Mid-Level (Level 3): 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and PMP or another PMI certification.
• Experience with project tracking within a larger portfolio, Smartsheet, SAP, MES, and Root Cause Analysis.
• Ability to develop project-appropriate schedules, integrate large multi-year and small near-term projects, and quantify project implications with Finance.
• Technical background for cross-functional collaboration and knowledge of manufacturing, lean processing, and industrial engineering concepts.
• Strong oral and written communication with executive leaders and ability to manage with influence across multiple teams.
