Technical Delivery Manager (Enterprise Data)

Location: London, United Kingdom; other locations include England, Scotland, Stirling and Edinburgh.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end delivery of enterprise data initiatives from inception and planning through build, testing, release, warranty and handover to support.
• Create integrated delivery plans covering scope, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, actions and decisions.
• Establish delivery governance through reporting, quality gates, change control, RAID management and escalation routes.
• Coordinate Product Owners, business leads, architects, engineers, testers, security, risk, finance and operations teams across Azure and Databricks data platforms.
• Manage delivery finances, forecasts, benefits tracking, resource planning, supplier delivery and third-party commitments where applicable.
• Ensure acceptance criteria, data controls, operational readiness, monitoring, support processes, runbooks and ownership are in place for transition into BAU.

Requirements

• Strong technical delivery capability in complex data, cloud or platform environments.
• Good understanding of the software delivery lifecycle, including discovery, requirements, planning, build, testing, release, warranty and support.
• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall or hybrid delivery approaches.
• Understanding of data delivery concepts including ingestion, integration, ETL/ELT, data modelling, reporting, analytics, data quality and data governance.
• Working knowledge of cloud data platforms and data delivery.
• Ability to manage delivery risks, issues, dependencies, controls, stakeholder communication and escalation.
