Lead Infrastructure Engineer (Kubernetes)

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and resource the infrastructure team while driving project delivery and operational excellence.
• Design scalable hybrid infrastructure roadmaps and Kubernetes-centric system architectures aligned with business goals.
• Drive Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD automation using Terraform and Ansible.
• Maintain performance, monitoring, uptime, and incident response across physical servers, networks, storage, and Kubernetes clusters, including off-hours maintenance.
• Partner with InfoSec on security controls, risk assessments, and audit readiness.
• Evaluate third-party tools and manage technology partners against SLA requirements.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading infrastructure or operations teams and establishing operational metrics such as MTTR/MTTD, uptime SLAs, cloud spend optimization, and incident response frameworks.
• Exceptional organizational, resource-allocation, and project management skills for leading complex technical initiatives from inception to delivery.
• Deep knowledge of on-premises hardware, physical servers, SAN/NAS storage, and enterprise networking.
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible.
• Hands-on experience architecting and administering multi-cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Hands-on administration experience across Linux and Windows operating systems.

Nice to have

• CKA, CKAD, CKS, or AWS, Azure, or GCP Solutions Architect certification.
• RHCSA, RHCE, LPIC, VMware VCP-DCV, MCSA, or MCSE certification.
• CCNA, CCNP, or ITIL Foundation/Practitioner certification.
