Lead DevOps Engineer (Cloud)

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid working requires being in the office or on a client site at least 2 days per week, with some assignments requiring up to 5 days per week on a client site. Applicants for relevant UK roles must be British citizens or have 5 years of continuous UK residency to meet security-clearance requirements.

What you will do

• Design and implement scalable, high-performance cloud applications and infrastructure using AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Build CI/CD pipelines, repository workflows, build automation, orchestration, and environment automation.
• Implement microservices, containers, serverless functions, virtual machines, cloud networking, storage, firewalls, and related infrastructure.
• Set up logging, monitoring, alerting, high availability, business continuity, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Work with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams on consulting and internal projects.
• Coach and mentor team members, contribute to bids and proposals, and support account management.

Requirements

• 8–10+ years of DevOps experience.
• Expertise in architecture and knowledge of software development processes, including establishing robust methods and patterns across one or more pods.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
• Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to maintain regular client communication and act as a key project point of engagement.
• Experience coaching and mentoring teams.
• Strong consulting skills and experience contributing to bids, proposals, client presentations, or account management.
• For roles requiring UK security clearance: British citizenship or at least 5 years of continuous UK residency, plus background checks and Baseline Personnel Security Standard clearance.

Hiring process

• Initial call with a tech recruiter.
• Two 60-minute rounds consisting of competency and technical interviews, completed in either order.
• Final 60-minute meeting with a PA leader including a mini case study and discussion of client-centricity.
