Senior Data Engineer (GCP / BigQuery)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform.
• Build and optimize data transformations with SQL, dbt, and Jinja.
• Develop and manage cloud infrastructure with Terraform.
• Work with BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Dataflow, Cloud Run Services, Cloud Run Jobs, and Cloud Build.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines with GitHub and support event-driven processing with Kafka or equivalent technologies.
• Design and optimize dimensional data warehouse models using Kimball principles while ensuring data quality, performance, reliability, and maintainability.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with SQL, dbt, and Jinja.
• Excellent experience with Terraform.
• Solid experience with GCP and BigQuery, including data pipeline performance optimization.
• Experience with Cloud Functions, Dataflow, Cloud Run, and Cloud Build.
• Strong knowledge of GitHub and CI/CD.
• Experience with Kafka or equivalent event-streaming technologies.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing and Kimball modelling.
• Fluent English communication skills.

• Python programming.
• IAM and cloud platform administration.
• AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude.
• Swedish language proficiency.
