Team Lead Software Engineer for Process Platforms (Atlassian)

Location: Zurich, Switzerland; the role will move to Baar in 2030

What you will do

• Lead, coach and develop Atlassian engineers and software specialists, setting objectives, ownership and development paths.
• Translate strategy and demand into roadmaps and backlogs while coordinating resources, dependencies, operational work and change initiatives.
• Own stakeholder relationships and communicate decisions, risks, progress, service quality and priorities through senior-management level.
• Shape the strategy, architecture and operating model for Jira, Jira Service Management, Confluence and Assets.
• Lead the transition from Atlassian Data Center to Cloud, including application assessment, marketplace app rationalisation, migration decisions, governance and organisational readiness.
• Guide solution design, integrations, automation, platform standardisation and complex configuration, development, integration and troubleshooting.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading technical teams or senior specialists, including direction-setting, delegation, conflict resolution and people development.
• Several years of practical experience designing, building, testing and maintaining enterprise applications.
• Strong understanding of clean code, APIs, integrations, automated testing, CI/CD and maintainable architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Java and/or Kotlin and modern frameworks such as Spring Boot.
• Practical enterprise experience with Jira, Jira Service Management, Confluence and Assets, including configuration, workflows, permissions, automation, integrations and operations.
• Experience with platform governance, service management, operational processes, security and compliance.
• Clear, pragmatic communication across engineering, operations, business and management.
• Fluent English is required. German is highly desirable.
• Affinity for Artificial Intelligence and willingness to use AI-enabled tools and ways of working.
