Backend Engineer (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Build and evolve backend services for internal tools and customer-facing experiences.
• Design and implement APIs, event-driven workflows, and services with .NET and C#.
• Work with Azure Service Bus, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, and related cloud services.
• Develop backend capabilities for product initiatives used by SOC analysts, internal teams, and customers.
• Improve existing systems and create new services and features in collaboration with frontend engineers, product stakeholders, and other teams.
• Contribute to AI-assisted development, CI/CD, infrastructure workflows, Terraform where applicable, and more efficient security operations.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong experience with .NET and C#.
• Practical experience with Azure and cloud-based service development.
• Experience building or maintaining event-driven systems.
• Solid software engineering fundamentals, including maintainable code, system behavior, testing, debugging, and architecture.
• Comfort working collaboratively in a product environment with evolving requirements.
• Curiosity, adaptability, openness to new ways of working, especially AI-assisted development, and a combination of engineering rigor with product thinking.
• Clear communication skills and willingness to work across teams and share feedback.

Nice to have

• A degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
• Frontend exposure or experience working with frontend-heavy teams.
• Experience with automated testing and test strategy.
• Experience with Terraform or infrastructure-as-code workflows.
• Experience with product-oriented software, distributed systems, microservices, or data-heavy systems.
• Familiarity with modern developer tooling and AI-enabled workflows.
