Engineering Team Lead for Invoices (SaaS)

hirify.global is a majority employee-owned SaaS scale-up developing an agentic platform that automates finance and operations processes for enterprise customers. Its invoice product determines whether supplier invoices can be posted to customer ERPs without human intervention.

What you will do

• Lead the invoice engineering team, owning people management, hiring, roadmap, delivery, and team structure.
• Coach engineers and subteam leads through regular 1:1s, feedback, development planning, promotions, and measurable goals.
• Own hiring end to end, including profile definition, screening, interviews, coding challenge reviews, offer closing, and onboarding plans.
• Build quarterly roadmaps and run monthly planning with product owners and product management, prioritizing customer impact, revenue, and strategic value.
• Lead engineering delivery for strategic enterprise go-lives, including requirements engineering, solution design, testing, fixes, readiness, and stakeholder updates.
• Work with product, project management, customer success, sales, and customer IT teams to align priorities and close product gaps for future customers.

Requirements

• At least two years of experience leading an engineering team of 8 or more people, ideally in B2B SaaS, including growing a team through hiring.
• Strong backend engineering background with the ability to read, review, and discuss production code and system design with senior engineers.
• Significant hands-on experience hiring engineers and running a structured interview process with high standards.
• Experience delivering complex software for enterprise customers, including demanding go-lives, and communicating directly with customer stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritize decisively, communicate trade-offs, and maintain alignment with engineers, sales, and executives.
• Ability to develop people through direct feedback, measurable goals, and support in progressing toward leadership roles.
• Strong ownership, early escalation of problems, willingness to ask for help, and ability to hold the team to the same standard.
• Fluent English required.
