Full Stack Engineer (Java, Microservices, Spring Boot, Docker, React, TypeScript & Redux)

What you will do

• Collaboratively develop features and engineering capabilities for Hosted Payment Pages, using automation where appropriate.
• Participate in all development stages, from requirements discussions with the Product Owner through cloud deployment.
• Join the on-call rota to support highly available products developed by the squad.
• Collaborate with engineers across squads on technology, architecture patterns, and implementation approaches.

Requirements

• Front-end experience with React, Webpack, TypeScript, Redux, and Material UI.
• Experience building and operating large-scale, highly available cloud microservices.
• Experience building microservices with Docker, Spring Boot, and Java.
• Experience with unit testing and BDD frameworks such as JUnit, Cucumber, and Jest.
• Strong focus on engineering quality, an agile mindset, continuous learning, and improving ways of working.
• Ability to ask effective questions, simplify complex problems, and contribute to a culture of honesty and accountability.

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, and AWS.
• Experience with Kafka or other messaging-oriented middleware.
• Experience with reactive programming.
• Exposure to the payments industry, especially cards and other payment schemes.
• Exposure to PCI-DSS.
