Senior Fullstack Developer (Retail)

Location: Fully remote, with the role listed in London, UK

Salary: £70,000–£85,000 per annum

hirify.global is an IT recruitment company representing a well-established, multi-channel retail organisation investing in its in-house engineering function.

What you will do

• Design, develop and maintain applications using C#, React, TypeScript and React Native.
• Build mobile applications for retail stores and handheld devices, plus administration portals, reporting tools and internal business applications.
• Create and maintain RESTful APIs, backend services and ePOS integrations.
• Contribute to microservices-based architectures and work with SQL Server, MongoDB and other relational or document databases.
• Write clean, scalable and well-tested code; participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
• Work with product teams, take ownership of technical solutions and mentor junior developers.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of commercial C#/.NET development experience.
• At least 6 years of commercial experience using React and TypeScript.
• Experience with React Native, commercially or through personal projects.
• Strong understanding of relational or document databases, microservices architecture, REST APIs and backend services.
• Strong software engineering, testing and maintainable-code practices.
• Experience working in Agile development teams and adapting to changing requirements.
• Good communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and technical decision-making.

Nice to have

• Jest, React Testing Library, offline-first applications and synchronisation between local devices and cloud services.
• Ditto, Couchbase Mobile, Firebase, RabbitMQ, MassTransit, micro-frontends or distributed systems.
• Entity Framework, MVC, Azure, Jenkins, Kubernetes, GitFlow and modern CI/CD practices.
• Previous experience mentoring or supporting junior developers.
