Technical Portfolio Lead (3D AI)

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end delivery of complex AI/ML engineering programs, system integrations, and digital engineering initiatives within the 3D AI Engineering Center of Excellence.
• Own portfolio governance, including roadmaps, milestones, resources, budgets, KPIs, and executive portfolio health reviews.
• Translate strategic objectives into engineering requirements and delivery plans with senior business leaders and technical teams.
• Align business, engineering, and IT stakeholders while managing expectations and organizational priorities.
• Optimize agile delivery through sprint planning, backlog management, and continuous improvement.
• Manage risks, dependencies, change initiatives, and adoption of AI-driven design, simulation, surrogate modeling, and digital engineering capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; a Master’s degree or PhD is preferred.
• Demonstrated success leading technical projects and program portfolios in engineering, technology, or research environments in industry or academia.
• Several years of engineering experience, or relevant PhD research experience, preferably in gas turbines, aero turbines, aerospace propulsion, power generation, or related industries.
• Ability to understand complex technical topics, evaluate system architectures, and collaborate with AI/ML development teams.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business insights, support data-driven decisions, lead process improvements, navigate ambiguity, and align stakeholders with competing priorities.

Nice to have

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or an equivalent credential such as Agile Practitioner, Scrum Master, or Product Owner.
• Experience with product and software development lifecycles from research and development through deployment and operational maintenance.
• Additional experience may support placement in a more senior-level role.
