Senior Specialist Infra Engineer (Azure)

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands; hybrid working with regular office attendance for team meetings and team days. The main location is 's-Hertogenbosch. Up to 2 months of remote work from abroad per year may be arranged.

Gross monthly salary: €4,700–€5,700, plus a flexible budget of 19.47% of gross salary.

What you will do

• Manage and maintain enterprise Linux, storage, backup, virtualization, and hybrid Azure infrastructure platforms.
• Deliver infrastructure improvements, lifecycle management activities, upgrades, and modernization initiatives.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure incidents and platform issues while implementing monitoring, alerting, and operational controls.
• Automate operational tasks and improve platform reliability through scripting and tooling.
• Support disaster recovery, backup and recovery, security, patching, and compliance activities.
• Collaborate with architects, platform engineers, security specialists, and application teams in Agile backlog and sprint activities; participate in on-call duties and work outside regular service windows when needed.

Requirements

• Broad experience with infrastructure platforms and building reliable, secure, and manageable enterprise IT solutions.
• Strong experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, AIX, Sybase, and AVTware.
• Experience with VMware vSphere and ESXi environments.
• Experience setting up and maintaining platform management environments for infrastructure monitoring, automation, and lifecycle management.
• Experience with enterprise storage platforms such as NetApp, HDS Hitachi, Dell EMC, HPE, or similar solutions, plus experience with the Nasuni File Data Platform.
• Experience with Commvault backup and recovery solutions, infrastructure monitoring, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management.
• Scripting and automation skills using Bash, PowerShell, Python, or similar technologies.
• Understanding of enterprise security and patch management practices.
• Good mastery of English, both oral and written.

Nice to have

• Affinity with AI tools and understanding of how they can support engineering, documentation, testing, or management processes.
